🦽 Building Mobility. Creating Possibilities.

What if a 3D printer could do more than make something cool? What if it could help change a child's life?

That's exactly what I'm doing with Prints With Purpose.

I've been approved to work with MakeGood Mobility, and I'm now working on creating 3D-printed mobility chairs for children with disabilities.

This isn't just an idea anymore.

The project is underway.

Each chair costs approximately $150 in materials alone to build. That's before considering the time, printing, assembly, testing, and everything else that goes into putting a finished chair together.

And while $150 may sound reasonable compared to commercially manufactured mobility equipment—which can cost thousands of dollars and, depending on the equipment and customization, potentially much more—even those costs can be a significant barrier for families who are already facing enormous challenges.

That's one of the reasons I'm doing this.

❤️ I'm doing it with or without help.

I believe strongly enough in the idea that I'm going to build these chairs whether anyone contributes or not.

But if the project is successful, I may open it up so others can become part of it.

Imagine being able to say:

"I helped build a chair that gave a child the ability to move."

That's a pretty amazing thing to be part of.

I'm starting with one chair.

Then we'll see where it goes.

If the process works, if the chairs make a difference, and if there is enough interest, I want to build more.

And that's where you may have an opportunity to help.

For now, I'm sharing the journey, the process, and the results as I learn along the way.

Because this isn't about making something that sits on a shelf.
